Several St. Landry Parish schools celebrated the construction of new classrooms and restrooms through ESSER funds.

St. Landry Parish School Board members visited multiple campuses this week to tour the new additions made through the ESSER 3 Construction Project. The Project comprised of 37 school sites throughout the parish that underwent months of renovations, new roof, window, and door installations, along with new bathrooms and air quality.

Twelve of those sites each received eight new classroom and restroom additions, which included East Elementary, Glendale Elementary, Eunice Jr. High, Central Middle School, Lawtell Elementary, Arnaudville Middle, Cankton Elementary, Sunset Middle, Krotz Springs Elementary, Palmetto Elementary and Port Barre Elementary.

School board members, central office personnel, construction team members, and architect team members were in attendance to celebrate the opening of these new buildings with a ribbon cutting a plaque placement. The students and staff say they love the new additions to their school.

Eunice Jr. High showcased their new multi-purpose center constructed this school year.
