Washington Mayor Dwight Landreneau is the first to use the EV charging station installed Thursday at the Washington Police Department. The charging station is a combined effort between CLECO and the town of Washington and is the only charging station located between Washington and Alexandria on Interstate 49. On hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony were representatives from CLECO local politicians and well wishers from throughout St. Landry Parish.
