TRAFFIC ADVISORY | TREE TRIMMING OPERATIONS 
The Opelousas Police Department would like to advise motorists that on Sunday, September 13, 2026, beginning at approximately 7:30 a.m., tree trimming operations will take place along Highway 190 and Highway 182 in the Opelousas area.
The work is being conducted in preparation for a future high-load transport that will travel along the same route.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through these areas. Please be alert for work crews, equipment, possible lane restrictions, and temporary traffic delays. Slow down and follow the directions of personnel working along the route.
Tree trimming is expected to be completed on Sunday. Should operations extend beyond Sunday, additional updates will be provided regarding active work zones and any related traffic advisories.
