WANTED FUGITIVE CAPTURED IN TEXAS


ARRESTED:
Justin Michael Miller, 28 years old

CHARGES:
Attempted 1 st Degree Murder of a Police Officer
4 cts. Child Endangerment
Aggravated Flight from an Officer
Failure to Render Aid
Resisting an Officer with Force or Violence


Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz reports, “This afternoon, the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office was notified that Justin
Michael Miller was taken into custody by the United States Marshal’s Violent Offender Task Force in Houston,
Texas. Miller will be transferred to the Harris County Jail and extradition proceedings will be initiated.”
Sheriff Guidroz continued, “Our profound gratitude goes to the U.S. Marshals and all of the law enforcement
officials who assisted in locating and capturing Miller. I would also like to offer my personal thanks to all of
the overwhelming support for our injured officer and his family. While elsewhere there are riots and destructive
activities, we are truly blessed to have the support of our citizenry. We will continue to do all that we can to
earn this sacred trust and support.”
