Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz reports, “Out of necessity, I have formed a Warrant Team, comprised
primarily of members of St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. These deputies are highly
trained and extremely motivated. Their primary purpose is to review all outstanding warrants,
prioritize and execute active arrest warrants throughout the parish. These persons represent a
few of the numerous arrests thus far achieved. All too often, persons fail to respond to
reasonable requests to surrender on their own when arrest warrants are obtained. They also fail
to report to court when summoned, which will result in additional arrest warrants. This creates
needless backlogs in our courts, wasted resources in our District Attorney’s Office and law
enforcement agencies.” Sheriff Guidroz concludes, “In keeping with the promise; “Committed
to a Higher Standard”, we will continue to use all available resources to provide effective,
efficient and fair law enforcement for all.”
Anyone with additional information about this crime is encouraged to call the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office
at 337-948-6516. You may also call Crime Stoppers at 337-948-TIPS, download the P3 app on your mobile
device or simply dial **TIPS on your mobile phone to tip. All calls are anonymous and you can earn a cash
reward for information leading to an arrest.
This is Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz. All persons are presumed innocent
until proven guilty in a court of law.
