Betty Landry has been doing it all for 25 years at Tony Chachere’s Creole Foods in Opelousas and her efforts were recognized on Tuesday as she was recognized at Office Employee Of The Year during a meeting of the Opelousas Noon Rotary Club.

Landry, who was nominated by Jamie Brown, has worked at Tony Chachere’s for over 30 years and has apparently performed a variety of tasks for the company with deft precision.

“Betty is the employee that does whatever is asked of her, whether it’s preparing supples for our sales team members or checking the mail on a daily basis,” Brown wrote in her nomination letter.

Landry, an Opelousas High graduate, also transports prospective employees for hospital physical examinations and takes an active role in preparing the company for events.

“There are many reasons why Betty deserves to be recognized and considered as the Office Employee of the Year,” Brown wrote.

Rotarian Susan Litton, who organized the event, said Rotarians brought 24 guests to the luncheon as part of the program.

The individuals recognized had chances to win door prizes and then teamed with their bosses to create indoor or external wreaths.
