“Having a brain injury has had a large impact, in particularly in one’s perspective of life”, says B.J. Smith of Opelousas.

B.J. sustained a brain injury on August 8, 2005 after crashing an ATV.

After his brain injury, B.J. was introduced to art by his mother Kim Lanclos-Smith. Since then he has made various artwork using acrylic paint and color.

On Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 10 a.m. there will be a presentation on brain injuries inside the St. Landry Parish Court House. The presentation will be on display for one month.
