I’ve seen Danny Wells at several news events over the years but never had the opportunity to actually meet and discuss our similar careers. On Tuesday at the Opelousas Rotary Club I had the chance to meet Danny as he was setting up his video equipment to record local historian-archivist Marie Marcel as she spoke to the club on the Opelousas Massacre which occurred on Sept. 28, 1868. Danny and Marie have been working together for about ten years. Danny has been interested in photography for many years, ever since he took a photography course given by Bill Boudier. Danny also works as a volunteer at AOL Community Media in Lafayette and also volunteers hit time and talents at the Lighthouse Family Church.
