St. Landry Parish, LA – St. Landry Parish Government is excited to host the full
lineup of events for the 2023 St. Landry BBQ Fest. The second annual festival will
take place on June 9-11, 2023, at the Yambilee Grounds and Ag Arena in
Opelousas.
The 2023 St. Landry BBQ Fest promises to be the biggest and best yet, featuring a
lineup of some of the most talented pit masters, musicians, and artists.
Some of the hottest local bands will be performing every day throughout the run of
the festival. There will also be a variety of arts and crafts vendors, a carnival with
rides and activities, and an array of food and drink vendors serving up
delicious barbecue and other amazing dishes. Our cook-off will take place on
Sunday the 11th and applications can be filled out on our website.
As a special treat during this year’s cook off, we are excited to welcome Gerald Gruenig &
Gentilly Zydeco to our BBQ Cook off stage at 11 am. The KLFY News 10
employee can be seen every Thursday on his popular segment, Acadiana Eats.
“It makes me happy to see all of the support that our parish is getting from local
businesses and our community as the festival gets closer” said St. Landry Parish
President, Jessie Bellard. “Come out and join us for a fun-filled weekend for your
entire family. Our music line up is sure to keep your feet moving! We want our
citizens to be as proud of this event as we are to host it for them,” Bellard
concluded.
