Lines started forming early around the Boys And Girls Club Saturday morning and by the time the event started it almost wrapped around the building.
What it was was the 12th annual Back To School Unity Fest where over 1000 book sacks were given as well as school supplies. But the Unity Fest also offered free haircuts, music, games and good energy. It wasn’t just a giveaway but a chance to make Opelousas even better by showing what energy really looks like. The event was hosted by Community Works.
