Downtown Opelousas came alive Saturday as hundreds turned out for the annual St. Landry Parish Student Art Expo held on and around the courthouse square. Close to 500 student artists from across St. Landry Parish showcased their talents in art, music and live performances. For the hungry crowd there were food vendors set up around the square as well as local downtown restaurants hoping to attract the large downtown crowd. The annual event is organized by the Acadiana Center For The Arts.
