Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz reports, “After several weeks of investigation, our Narcotics
Detectives executed a search warrant at 633 West Pulford Street in Opelousas, LA. With the
invaluable assistance of the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, both Joel and
Tanisha Aggison were taken into custody without incident.” Sheriff Guidroz continues, “The
search of the residence and vehicles resulted in the recovery of five firearms, of which two were
illegally modified to fire fully automatic. This discovery represents the extreme danger posed
to society when bad actors not only deal in drugs, but arm themselves illegally with fully-
automatic pistols and rifles.” Sheriff Guidroz concludes, “The success of this operation is the
result of our Narcotics Detectives and SWAT Operators planning, coordinating and executing
proper tactics. Another example of our officers “Committed to a Higher Standard.”
