Crisis Response Team comes to Crime Stoppers with important
information everyone should know.
I hope that we can agree that anyone can experience a mental health
crisis, either through critical incidents, extremely stressful situations,
health issues and in many other ways. Who do you turn to when this
happens, either to yourself or to others?
The Extra Mile Mobile Crisis Response Unit is a nonprofit organization
with offices in Lafayette. We are dedicated to providing rapid,
trauma-informed crisis intervention services. Its mission is to
promote safety, healing and stability by responding to mental health
emergencies, domestic violence, sexual assault, substance abuse and
traumatic crises. Our organization collaborates with community
partners, law enforcement, hospitals and social service agencies to
provide advocacy, emotional support, crisis de-escalation, referrals,
education and prevention services while ensuring compassionate,
confidential and accessible care for individuals and families in need.
