A traffic accident on the corner of Vine and Market streets in downtown Opelousas early Friday evening resulted in injuries to one person. The injured woman was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment.
Opelousas Police Department and the Opelousas Fire Department responded to the scence and were joined by members of the ambulance service. No further information is available at this time.
