A small group from Haiti attended the Juneteenth Celebration in Opelousas on Saturday. They were part of a larger deligation of 30, representing cities from throughout Haiti, visiting Louisiana for two week. Part of the deligation is pictured with Opelousas Mayor Julius Alsandor and others from St. Landry Parish at the celebration held at the Farmer’s Market Pavillion on Saturday. Left to right are: Eva Iford, LeMar Clifford, LuLu, Sr. Melissa, Moses, Mayor Alsandor, and Gwen Bienvenue Clifford. (Photograph by Freddie Herpin for St. Landry Now.)
