Louisiana is ranked last–again–in a report which cites an atmosphere of surging violent crime, poisonous industrial pollution and in series of studies listing Louisiana as the worst or among the worst states in key quality of life areas. This information is included in a report by the U.S. News and World Report for 2023. The report also ranked Louisiana in the following categories: crime/corrections , 50; economy, 50;
education, 46′ fiscal stability, 38; healthcare, 45; infrastructure,49; natural environment, 49; and opportunity, 48. And the list goes on and on.
I blame the VOTERS of Louisiana for casting a vote for some incompetent people holding public office and are responsible for LOUISIANA BEING LISTED AS WORST OF THE WORST in the United States. I admit there are some extremely good public servants in Louisiana. However, they are outnumbered by people who just remain for years with unproductive results. One group wants a pay raise for their unproductive work. Wishful thinking. Elections are near and Louisiana should vote for and elect educated, dedicated and competent people who are capable of moving Louisiana out the listing of the WORST OF THE WORST. After they have proven themselves, THEN DISCUSS A PAY RAISE.
The voters of Louisiana should demand honesty, integrity and TERM LIMITS for most elected office holders. This can be achieved. BUT, WE MUST TAKE TIME OUT TO VOTE !!
