On November 2, 2022, Robert McPhearson was sentenced to life imprisonment, to be served without benefit of probation , parole or suspension of sentence. On October 19, 2022, after several days of trial , a St. Landry Parish jury reached a unanimous verdict finding McPhearson guilty of the second degree murder of Alana Michelle Zuccaro.
Ms. Zuccaro’s body was found off of HWY I03 in Washington, Louisiana, approximately two weeks after she was last seen with McPhearson. Evidence collected by St. Landry Parish detectives, along with the help of West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff s Office. State Police and the Pineville Police Department , pieced together the last hours of the victim ‘s life, which led to McPhearson ·s arrest and conviction.
