The first-round of the boys’ state basketball playoffs that involves St. Landry Parish was completed without a loss or much difficulty Friday night.
Parish teams, all of which hosted bi-district games, are now eligible to advance for regional round games whose times and dates will be announced later this week.
J.S. Clark Leadership Academy, seeded No. 2 in the Division V select round, was provided with a first-round bye and will play a second round contest against either Family Christian or Jehovah Jireh.
Scheduling the first J.S. Clark boys’ playoff game could become complicated, since the school is also set to play Monday night in a Division V non-select girls’ semifinal postseason contest.
Next week Northwest High, North Central and Beau Chene will play a second consecutive home playoff game, while Westminster Christian Academy, Opelousas Catholic and Opelousas High will compete on the road.
Here are the Friday night parish boys’ scores and their matchups for second-round games.
