Flooding and the Future of Acadiana:

Atchafalaya Basinkeeper Hosts Community Meeting

to Address the Loss of Flood Capacity in the Atchafalaya Basin Floodway

Opelousas, LA – Join Atchafalaya Basinkeeper and St Landry Parish government at a public meeting to learn how the current management of the Atchafalaya Basin will affect the future of our children and what will happen when the Basin levees fail.

Learn about management solutions that would maintain the Atchafalaya Basin’s flood capacity, deliver valuable sand and silt to the coast where it is needed, and protect our communities and Southcentral Louisiana from flooding for future generations.
