Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz reports, “Narcotics Investigators with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office received a
tip through Crime Stoppers in regards to a home at 1311 Nash Drive in Opelousas. The tip stated that the
occupants were cooking drugs, selling drugs from the house and were in possession of firearms. Upon further
investigation, Narcotics Investigators were able to locate the narcotics, seize the firearms and arrest the five
adult occupants.” Sheriff Guidroz concludes, “This incident demonstrates the effectiveness of the Crime
Stopper tips program. We will always utilize the information from these tips to investigate any report of
criminal activity.”
