The third annual Holy Ghost Catholic Church Back to School Day and Community Health Fair was held Saturday, Aug. 8, on the church grounds. This annual event was sponsored by the Knights of Peter Claver and Ladies Auxiliary and Holy Ghost Court 8.
It was also a day of fun for the kids as they lined up single line to receive book sacks, pencils, composition paper and just about any other items needed to get them through the school year. They were also given free medical screenings courtesy of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. The kids were also treated to barbecue chicken sandwiches and free snowballs to quench their thirst. There was also a voter registration booth set up for the accompanying parents.
