Melanie LeBouef, tourism director for the city of Opelousas, was the guest speaker at the weekly luncheon on the Opelousas Noon Rotary Club. LeBouef spoke on the history of Le Vieux Village and gave an update on what is being done to enhance the Opelousas historic district and preserve the city’s rich history. The weekly luncheon is held on Tuesdys at the Knights of Columbus Hall on North Main Street.
