4 cts. Assault on a School Teacher (Felony)
Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz reports, “On July 15, 2026, a school administrator notified our School
Resource Officer of threatening communications against the Sheriff’s Office and a
paraprofessional at the school. The matter was immediately investigated and confirmed the
perpetrator as Mackenzie James. The prompt action by the school administrator and the use of
social media and other communications information by our School Resource Officer resulted in
the swift resolution of this case.”
