Saturday, February 12, the city of Washington hosted a focus group to pinpoint the best parts of the city. Communication students from the University of Louisiana are studying the city of the Washington and interviewing residents to better market the city. Once the study is completed, the students will build a website and social media sites that will highlight everything that Washington has to offer.
Mayor Dwight Landreneau stated “ this is going to bring Washington in the twenty-first century.” He also said “This will be a big driver for tourism in our city.”
The event, sponsored by CLECO, featured Washington residents who describe the best and worst parts of Washington.
