The town of Washington will unveil its newest attraction, a steamboat whistle on Tuesday, November 21st at 5:30pm. At the event, there will be live music by Don Fontenot, tasting trays from local restaurants, and the lighting of Washington’s Christmas tree.

The whistle, which will sound out at 6pm every day. harkens back to the town’s history as one of the busiest steamboat landings in the region.
