Temporary Water Pressure Interruptions in Opelousas Park Vista and
Creswell Lane South area Due to Sewer Improvement Project
Opelousas, LA (April 22, 2025)– The City of Opelousas announces that due to the ongoing Sewer
Improvement Project, residents and businesses in the Creswell Lane South and Park Vista areas
will experience low or no water pressure. These interruptions are scheduled for today, April 22,
2025, and tomorrow, April 23, 2025, as part of necessary upgrades to our water and sewer
infrastructure.
Boil Water Advisory:
As a precaution, a boil water advisory is issued effective immediately for the affected areas until
further notice. Residents are advised to boil water for one minute before using it for drinking,
cooking, brushing teeth, or washing dishes. This measure is to ensure the safety and health of
all our citizens.
Apology for Inconveniences:
The City of Opelousas apologizes for any inconvenience these service interruptions may cause.
These upgrades are critical to improving the overall efficiency and reliability of our water and
sewer systems. We are committed to completing these improvements as quickly and safely as
possible.
We appreciate the patience and understanding of our residents and business owners during
this time. The City will provide updates as the project progresses and will notify when the boil
water advisory is lifted.
