Today begins the week long cleanup of Market Street in Opelousas.
The Opelousas Downtown Development District (ODDD) along with the City of Opelousas is locally sponsoring the effort along Market Street from Bertheaud Avenue to Church Street. Opelousas Main Street, Hope for Opelousas, the Interact Club and other groups are participating in the Love the Boot clean up campaign. The Market Street cleanup will continue all week until April 23.
Love the Boot Week, April 17-23, 2023, is Louisiana’s Largest Litter Cleanup Organized by Keep Louisiana Beautiful. It is held in conjunction with Earth Week, April 17-23, 2023. Love the Boot Week is supported by the Office of the state’s Lieutenant Governor.
