You’re never too old to rock and roll and hundreds of senior citizens did just that as they danced to the sounds of Geno Delafose and French Rockin Boogie. The occasion was the monthly meeting of the Opelousas Elderly Awareness Program held at the Yambilee Building. I’ve been knowing Gilda for a while and have always known her to be fun lovinjg person. An occasional trip to the casinos is one thing she enjoys as well as bingo games at the St. Landry Parish Council on Aging.. Thje Opelousas Elderly Awareness Program is also high on her list of fun things to. do. One big enjoyment for Gilda is cruising. She recently returned from a cruise to Mexico and other ports with other members of her immediate family. Cards, especially bouree, is another favorite of hers and she hosts a bouree game with friend at her residence at least once a week. You are a sweet person Gilda so keep on keeping on and living life to the fullest.
