CRIME STOPPERS TIP LEADS TO METHAMPHETAMINE DRUG TRAFFICKING OPERATION IN EUNICE
According to Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz, “Recently, the narcotics detectives with the St. Landry
Parish Sheriff’s Office received a Crime Stoppers tip regarding a crystal methamphetamine
drug trafficking operation. During the investigation, detectives were able to identify Charles
Wesley, Jr., aka “Cali”, as the source of supply for the crystal methamphetamine, and received
information that he was keeping his supply at a local storage unit within the city limits of
Eunice.”
After probable cause was obtained, a search was conducted inside a unit which, according to the
lease agreement, was identified as belonging to Charles Wesley, Jr. The search revealed the
discovery of approximately 398 grams of marijuana, and 52.2 ounces of crystal
methamphetamine, which is equivalent to three and one quarter (3 ¼) pounds.
On January 25, 2024, narcotics detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Charles Wesley, Jr.,
charging him with one (1) count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I CDS
(Marijuana) and one (1) count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS
(Methamphetamine).
It should be noted Charles Wesley, Jr. is currently on probation for possession of a firearm by a
convicted felon.
Please be advised, Charles Wesley, Jr. has not been arrested on the warrant mentioned in the press release, as of this date.
