The St. Landry Catholic Church Cemetery Tour will continue next week-end, Saturday and Sunday, October 15-16, 2022. The Saturday tours start at 7PM and the Sunday tours starts at 2PM)
The eight spirts featured for this years tour include Agnes “Thomson” Dupre Carroll Guthrie Lalonde, an Orphan Train Rider, portrayed by Amanda Louivere; Joseph Guillory, a Soldier, portrayed by James Douget; Mary Joubert, Elizabeth Taylor’s help, portrayed by Sheryl Ned; Frank Usher Chachere, a Marine, portrayed by Carbin Marks; Mrs. Mazimillian Kennison, Jr., Wife of a Steamboat Captain, portrayed by Jasmine Robison; Marie Jeanne Talliaferro, Mother of Martin Donato, portrayed by Etha Amling; Phillip Stagg, a Farmer, portrayed by Warren LaFleur; and Alzada Spraggins, a Nurse at OGHS, portrayed by Collette Spraggins.
The cemetery tour is in its 20th year, chaired by Yvonne L. Normand, with Dana Reed as Drama Director, and James Douget handling the research. All proceeds raised from the tour go to help the Cemetery Historical Restoration Fund.
