Members of the non-profit preservationist group plan to use revenue obtained by local funding sponsorships used for the brunch, in order to make essential structural improvements for the Prudhomme Home, which was completed during the early 19th century.

Additional volunteer assistance for the brunch was provided by St. Landry Parish government, the Opelousas Sunrise Rotary Club, live music from the Hadley Castile family members and individuals who provided help for those in attendance.

Members of the Preservationist group plan to eventually use the historic home as a venue and meeting place for civic groups, private parties and tours.

At this point the Preservationists plan use acquired revenues from the brunch and other sources in order to purchase materials and begin needed repairs on an upstairs porch and the roof at the home.
