(Opelousas, LA) — The City of Opelousas will offer a fun spook-tacular Halloween experience with a fun Trick or Treat Trail scheduled for Saturday, October 29th, from 4- 6 p.m. at South City Park.  The event will utilize the one -mile walking trail at South Park, which is located at 1524 S. Market Street in Opelousas, Louisiana.  

The trail will feature over 35 trick-or-treat booths set up by local businesses and organizations. Children will walk the trail in search of treats and activities. Train rides, monster mash music, a digital photo booth and other photo opportunities will also be a part of the activities.  While families are encouraged to walk the trail, the trick-or-treating activity is designed for kids ages 12 and under.

Organized by Opelousas Tourism and Parks & Recreation Department, the event is free and open to the public and aims to provide the community with a fun alternative to traditional door to door trick-or-treating, keeping safety in mind.  Opelousas Mayor Julius Alsandor and the City Council, along with Opelousas Police Department, are dedicated to providing family-oriented events for residents by offering a fun way to spend time with others in their community.
