I was fortunate to be able to attend a birthday party at Prompt Succor Nursing Home Thursday afternoon. Not just for one but for all residents born in the month of June. Onerseeing the party was Sister Stephania D’Souza who introduced the honorees and led the audience in the singing Happy Birthday. I didn’t know all of the honorees but I did recognize Sarah Branton who was there with family members visiting her mother. I also visited with Nelda Stellywho was surrounded by her sisters Annie, Beatrice, Gloria and her brother Raymond. Following a brief history of the honorees. read by a family member, birthday cake and coffee was served by nursing home staff.
