Opelousas General Foundation Launches

Inaugural Raffle

Opelousas, LA, 10/8/2025 – Tickets are on sale for the inaugural Foundation raffle conducted under Louisiana
Limited Raffle License #L0010669. All proceeds directly support patient care and community health programs.
This year’s raffle includes four prizes, with four chances to win, totaling over $3,000.
Tickets are $100, with each ticket providing two unique numbers. Exactly 500 tickets will be sold, no more, no
less. Odds to win a prize are 1:500. To purchase a ticket online, click here . If you purchase a ticket online, then
your ticket stub will be scanned and emailed to you in advance of the drawing.
Opelousas General Health System Foundation (OGHSF) believes that it is essential to emphasize safe gun
ownership and proper training. Responsible behavior is paramount and OGHSF is proud to partner with
Opelousas native Caleb Morse in helping spread information about The Armory Project .

How the Drawings Work:

Louisiana Lottery holds a daily “Pick 3” drawing. The winning three-digit number is announced every day at
9:59 PM across the state of Louisiana. Visit the  Where to Watch page  for a list of stations that broadcast the
winning number.
Opelousas General Foundation raffle will utilize the same Pick 3 numbers from specific dates to determine the
winners. If tickets remain unsold on the scheduled prize drawing date(s) – April 13-16, then a new drawing date
will be announced on www.OpelousasGeneral.com/Raffle and www.Facebook.com/OGHSFoundation once all
tickets have been sold.
How Winners Claim Prizes:
Opelousas General Foundation will at no point be in possession of any firearm. Each prize will be held in
custody of a licensed firearms dealer (“Custodian”) noted in the prize description.
Opelousas General Foundation will contact each winner to confirm the legal recipient’s name. Following
confirmation, each winner will contact the Custodian to begin the legal transfer process. It is the sole
responsibility of the licensed firearms dealer to transfer possession of the prize according to all state and federal
laws and regulations.
LEGAL DISCLAIMER:
Opelousas General Health System Foundation is federally recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable
organization. The Raffle shall be conducted under Louisiana’s Limited Raffle License and subject to all
applicable laws and regulations governing same. All firearm prizes will be transferred in compliance with
federal and state laws through a licensed Federal Firearms Dealer (FFL). All proceeds directly support patient
care and community health programs.
