On March 29, 2023 at about 6:25 P.M. officers with the Opelousas Police Department responded to a call of a medical emergency in the 500 Blk. of Kim. Dr.
Upon arrival officers determined that a male victim had suffered from a significant injury that ultimately proved to be fatal as paramedics determined that the victim had succumb to his injuries. The coroner was notified and responded to the scene to conduct a thorough death investigation.
An autopsy has been ordered and investigators will be awaiting the results of the autopsy to determine the direction of the investigation.
