We would like to congratulate all the winners of the 2024 St Landry Crime Stoppers Officer of the Year Awards.

Dispatcher Nia Fruge – Dispatcher of the Year – St. Landry Sheriff’s Office
Lieutenant Regina Rinaldi – Special Services Officer of the Year – St. Landry Sheriff’s Office
Lt. Adam Rivette – Detective of the Year – St. Landry Sheriff’s Office
Deputy Chief Jeremy Ivory – Supervisor of the Year – Eunice Police Department
Lieutenant Drake Pousson – Judge Robert Brinkman Superior Officer of the Year – St. Landry Sheriff’s Office
Lieutenant Julian Tibbs – Judge Robert Brinkman Superior Officer of the Year – St. Landry Sheriff’s Office
Sheriff Guidroz spoke last night about their professionalism in their departments and to the citizens of the parish. Chief Kyle LeBouef of the Eunice Police Department commended them on their hard work and dedication. Tax Assessor Sherri McGovern also thanked each honoree for their commitment to maintaining professionalism and compassion towards the people in St. Landry Parish.
Crime Stoppers President Stephanie Johnson-Morein said agencies throughout St. Landry Parish nominate their candidates by letter to Crime Stoppers. The board then votes on the top law enforcement officer in their prospective sections. This year was so close in three categories (Civil Officer, Officer of the Year, and Superior Officer) that they wanted to recognize each of them.
Deputy Chief Eddie Thibodeaux, who is the St. Landry Crime Stoppers spokesperson and Regional 5 Director for Crime Stoppers USA for Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama thanked all the supervisors for recognizing their subordinates and to all the elected officials that were on hand to congratulate the honoree’s. The awards show their commitment to their department and to their community.
