Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz reports, “Upon receiving a Crime Stopper Tip, our Narcotics
Detectives immediately set up operations to confirm the information of meth being sold at 1055
Benjamin Street in Opelousas. Once there, Narcotics Detectives spoke with Travis Leday, the
target of the investigation.” Sheriff Guidroz continues, “A search warrant was obtained and the
following items seized:
Approximately 109 grams (nearly four ounces) of suspected crystal
methamphetamine,
Approximately 7 grams of suspected crack cocaine,
Approximately 2 ounces of suspected marijuana,
One digital scale,
$ 4,265.00 in United States currency,
One suspected Oxycodone pill,
One Winchester 12-gauge shotgun.
