18th Annual Gumbo Cook-Off Recipient

The Gumbo Foundation 18th Annual Gumbo Cook-Off beneficiary is four-year-old Cooper Schultz. Cooper is the son of Blake & Nicole Schultz and is the little brother to Lily & Evie. Cooper’s family moved from Alabama to Louisiana in 2020 when his Dad accepted a position at Opelousas General Health System. Cooper was diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on November 14, 2022, and received care at St. Jude in Memphis for about 12 weeks before transitioning much of his current treatments to the St. Jude affiliate in Baton Rouge. He is currently on week 17 of 120 of this phase of treatment and has 103 weeks remaining. Please join us in showing Cooper and his family all the love and support The Gumbo Foundation supporters and our community has to offer.
