Update:
An arrest has been made in the 5.31.23 shooting that occurred just before 7:30 P.M. near Cane & South Streets. Investigators were able to positively identify 26 year old Tevin Hubbard as the second person involved in the shooting. Hubbard was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail on the following:
1.) Illegal use of a weapon for dangerous instrumentalities
As previously stated, 30 year old Kennie “Michigan” Belvin of Opelousas will face the same charge when medically cleared to be incarcerated. Additional charges may be filed as the matter is still being investigated.
