According to Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz, “For the past year, narcotics detectives with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office have been investigating Christopher Pierre and his involvement in the illegal sales of heroin and fentanyl.  Through this investigation, detectives have come in contact with Pierre on multiple occasions and detectives seized approximately 20,000.00 in US currency.  During the month of April, detectives conducted a traffic stop on Pierre, which led to a search warrant at a residence located within St. Landry Parish. During the search warrant, detectives located an ounce of heroin and a firearm. Christopher Pierre was charged for this incident and is now out on bond.”

Through further investigations, detectives were able to identify a stash house within St. Landry Parish where Christopher Pierre was keeping the heroin.  On the September 15, 2022, narcotics detectives with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant on the stash house and Christopher Pierre was located at the residence.

During the search, detectives located nineteen (19) bags containing heroin, weighing an approximate total amount of 1.3 pounds.  The estimated street value of the heroin is $107,600.00.  A blender containing a brown powder residue, two (2) digital scales containing a brown, powder substance, sandwich baggies used to package the heroin for resale, an AR-15 pistol and $960.00 US currency were also found during the search.

On September 15, 2022, Christopher Pierre was transported to the St. Landry Parish Jail and charged with possession with intent to distribute a schedule I controlled dangerous substance (heroin), possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and manufacturing a schedule I controlled dangerous substance.

Tempestt Holmes was transported to the St. Landry Parish Jail and charged with possession with intent to distribute a schedule I controlled dangerous substance (heroin), possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and manufacturing a schedule I controlled dangerous substance.
