BROTHERS ARRESTED ON NUMEROUS DRUG AND WEAPONS CHARGES
On Tuesday, February 1, 2022, detectives with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division executed a search warrant at the residence of 1796 Highway 749 in the Opelousas area. This search warrant was generated after a lengthy investigation whereas detectives identified Dangello Perrodin and his brother, Dwight Perrodin, as distributing large amounts of marijuana and synthetic marijuana throughout the St. Landry Parish.
Upon execution of the search warrant, detectives seized the following from the home and vehicles:
- Approximately 291.4 grams of high grade marijuana, valued at approximately $2,700;
- Approximately 10 oxycodone pills;
- One orange medicine bottle containing a clear liquid labeled as Cetrizine, a schedule IV narcotic;
- Approximately 9.9 pounds of synthetic marijuana, valued at approximately $48,000;
- (12) firearms which included (5) handguns, (4) assault rifles, (2) shotguns, (1) Mac-10. One of these handguns was reported stolen; and
- $3,000.00 in US Currency.
Additionally, the residence was located within 190 feet of a daycare.
As a result of this investigation, Dangello Perrodin and Dwight Perrodin were arrested and booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail on multiple drug and weapons violations.
