Officers with the Opelousas Police Department investigated a shooting incident that occurred in the 600 Blk of Larcade St. just before 2:00 P.M. The subsequent investigation resulted in officers learning that a shooting resulted from a disturbance surrounding an alleged stolen four wheeler. After meeting in the 600 Blk. of Larcade St. and having a verbal disagreement regarding the alleged stolen four wheeler one of the parties produced a handgun and fired the weapon at the other party involved in the dispute. In turn the other party retreated, retrieved a handgun, and fired back in self-defense. All parties were located shortly after officers arrived on scene and were detained for investigation. No one was injured as a result of the exchange of gunfire. Ultimately the following persons were charged in the investigation and booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail.
