The Opelousas Little Theatre presents, Fighting for My Self, a dramatic portrayal of situations the characters struggle with to win back their self-reliance and hold on to their identities in the face of peer pressure. Karen suffers from bulimia. Kim, a recovering drug addict, must confront her younger sister about her drug use. Meg has just found out she’s pregnant. Liz is fighting depression and Juanita must deal with the violent death of her best friend. Though focusing on women’s issues, this poignant play is vital for all, offering a message of hope.
Showtimes – May 4th, 5th, 6th, 10th, 12th & 13th at 7pm, Matinee performances on Sunday May 7th and 14th at 2PM.
Tickets are $10 each can be pre-purchased from Sebastien-Dupre Fine Jewelry located at 822 S. Main Street in Opelousas, or on the Opelousas Little Theatre Square Site. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.
