Event Information
On Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, the Downtown Development District in partnership with the USDA Rural Development Business and Industry program will present opportunities for small businesses, potential new business owners, and organizations for funding through USDA and local financial institutions. The USDA Rural Development Business and Industry program will present information on the B&I Guaranteed Loan Program, Rural Energy for America Program, and Rural Development Business Grant.
Local financial institutions and business resource agencies will also be in attendance to meet with participants about innovative ways to grow their business.
The public, all business leaders and other interested stakeholders are encouraged to attend despite the level of growth or establishment of their business. There is no cost for admission.
The Downtown Development District in collaboration with other local public and private entities is devoted to building leadership, progressing, and serving as the catalyst for economic growth and development in Downtown Opelousas. The DDD will encourage cooperation and collaboration by advancing a positive image of downtown and assist in planning and developing the designated commercial district to its potential, through economic development and historic preservation.
