Singleton’s Pure Music – Charlie Rauh and Jim Pharis

Singleton’s Pure Music Stage presents a night of guitars with Charlie Rauh, a jazz trained musician, and folk/blues guitarist Jim Pharis.

Rauh, an acclaimed guitarist, composer and arranger whose music is described as reflective, personal, clear toned and simplistic, returns to NUNU collective for a second time. “Charlie Rauh plays guitar with a quiet intensity, each note and chord ringing with purpose,” writes Acoustic Guitar Magazine. “Rauh gives a gentle reminder that playing soft and slow can be more impactful, than loud and fast.”

Pharis, an acoustic folk blues guitarist, takes his influences from the classic Piedmont and Delta blues, and from within his home state of Louisiana. “Pharis’ rolling, fluent guitar is his high mileage strong suit,” notes Offbeat Magazine.
