The Port Barre Lions Club held its first Cracklin Festival in 1985 in downtown Port Barre and proceeds from our festival help support these eyesight projects:

Collecting used eyeglasses for recycling and reuse

Supporting the Louisiana Lions Camp

Conducting vision screenings for area youth

Providing funding to Leader Dogs for the Blind

Promoting eye tissue donations

Supporting the mission of the Louisiana Lions Eye Foundation
